Furoate Use Indication:
Mometasone Furoate
comes as a topical cream, ointment, and lotion. It usually is applied
externally once a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label
carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do
not understand. Use Mometasone Furoate exactly as directed. Do not use more or
less of it or use it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
To use
Mometasone Furoate cream or ointment,
apply a thin film to the affected skin areas once daily.
To apply the lotion, place a few
drops on the affected areas once daily and massage lightly until it
disappears. To be most effective and economical, hold the nozzle of the
bottle very close to the affected areas and gently squeeze.
Mometasone Furoate Medication Side Effects:
Although side
effects from Mometasone Furoate are not common, they can occur. Tell your doctor
if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away:

acne

skin sores
-
burning
-
itching
-
irritation
-
dryness
-
skin infection
-
changes in skin color
If you experience any of the
following symptoms, call your doctor immediately:

treated area becomes infected (red, warm, or
swollen)
-
pus oozes from treated area
-
if skin problem continues or worsens
Precautions on using Mometasone Furoate Medication
Before using
Mometasone Furoate,

tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic
to Mometasone Furoate or any other drugs.

tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription
and nonprescription medications you are taking, including vitamins.

tell your doctor if you have an infection or have
ever had cataracts, glaucoma, or diabetes.

tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to
become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while
using Mometasone Furoate, call your doctor.
