Ranitidine HCL Use Indication:
Ranitidine HCL comes
as a hard tablet, an effervescent tablet, granule packets, and liquid to
take by mouth. It usually is taken once daily at bedtime or twice a day
with or without food. Swallow Ranitidine HCL hard tablets whole, do not
chew, and take with water. Dissolve Ranitidine HCL effervescent tablets and
granules in a full glass (6-8 ounces) of water. Follow the directions on
the package or on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor
or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take Ranitidine
HCL
exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more
often than prescribed by your doctor.
If symptoms of heartburn, acid indigestion, or sour stomach last longer
than 2 weeks while taking Ranitidine HCL, stop taking it and call your
doctor
Precautions on using Ranitidine HCL Medication
Before taking
Ranitidine HCL tell your doctor and pharmacist:

if you are allergic to Ranitidine HCL or any other drugs.

what prescription and nonprescription medications you
are taking, especially triazolam (Halcion) and vitamins.

if you have or have ever had kidney or liver disease or acute
porphyria.

if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding.
If you become pregnant while taking Ranitidine HCL, call your doctor.
